focus on optimizing your quality of life for the long term.
DAY ONE
Cardiovascular Assessment
Lab draw (fasting in a.m. is required). Labs are Cardiovascular assessed
and will include the following:
Lipids (total cholesterol, LDL, HDL, triglycerides, TC/HDL), VAP test
(advanced cardiac risk lipid pattern assessed), Fasting sugar, fasting insulin
(marker for pre-diabetes), hs-CRP (marker for artery inflammation and unstable plaque),
homocysteine, Lp(a), TSH (thyroid health), Vitamin D.
Body Composition Assessment
"Biospace" body composition assessment to show weight, %body fat, %muscle, %water,
and BMI (body mass index: an important indicator of health status), metabolic rate
Treadmill exercise test supervised and evaluated by Dr. Pena. This will assess heart
health, blood pressure at rest and during exercise, fitness level and heart rhythm
Personalized training heart rate and exercise prescription will be made based on the
results of the treadmill.
Lunch On Own
Spend the afternoon in the Bathhouse where you will relax, rejuvenate and
restore by a soak and steam followed by a choice of:
Couples Honey Foot Treatment (60 minutes) -
Enjoy a soothing eucalyptus & honey foot sea salt soak, followed by a
sole soothing massage with our organic rosemary & Shea butter, moisturizes and
softens while restoring tired and aching feet. Writing/Journaling for Health & Wellness (90 minutes) -
This session is about finding your voice and looking within. Reflect and transcend
into your soul journey. Take a stroll down memory lane and bring yourself back into the
present moment with joy. Decrease the mind chatter. Learn how to develop trust and faith
in your story - Listen to your spiritual voice and understand what your body is telling you. Biodynamic Cranial Touch (90 minutes) -
Biodynamic Cranial Touch is a subtle and powerful approach to transformative healing.
It is deeply relaxing to the central nervous system, and a tremendous tool for working with
chronic pain, fatigue, grief, loss, recovery from surgery, and many other conditions.
In the stillness of open-hearted presence, you will leave the session, emerging with a new,
body-felt sense of wholeness and peace. This session starts with a dialogue of your goals,
followed by a short meditation, leading into a deep state of relaxation. This is an experience
of Presence and Stillness.
Dinner in the Lakehouse Restaurant
Enjoy a specially prepared 3 course menu focused around the “blue zone”
food group accompanied by our own Estate Vineyard, Sotero’s Cabernet.
DAY TWO
Morning guided hike or yoga.
Presentation/ Question and Answer by Dr. Pena to review the lab and test results:
What they mean, why they are important and how to optimize them.
Private consultation with Dr. Pena to summarize and create each person's "Live Well" blueprint
utilizing "Live Well Reward Scale" to establish goals and track progress.
Take home summary to be provided to each participant: lab results, body composition results,
treadmill test results, exercise prescription, nutrition guidelines, "Live Well" Blueprint and
the Reward Scale and Goals.
Lunch and Learn with Chef Christian Ojeda and Dr. Pena
